Thank you so much for reading! If there’s something you think I’m missing, or you’d like me to go over something else in more detail, feel free to ask and I’ll do my best to help you out. If you didn't choose the Nutritionist trait at the start of the game, you will never know how many calories you've consumed. That’s it! You’ve pretty much got all there is to know about Character Building, and whilst all that I’ve said is important if you’d like to make a Character built for long-term survival, you should also make sure to have fun! There are loads of options and possibilities for what you can do in Project Zomboid, so don’t be afraid to experiment to find out what works for you. Enjoy taking down herds? Traits like ‘Brawler’, ‘Strong’ and ‘Baseball Player’ are all Strength and combat-focused and so may be of use to you! Want to be stealthy? Try the ‘Burglar’ Occupation to have a lower chance of setting off the house and car alarms whilst being able to hotwire vehicles – ‘Runner’, ‘Inconspicuous’ and ‘Lucky’ (only effective in singleplayer) would be great alongside that! Conclusion It’s important to match your Traits and to think about the way you wish to play. The ‘Outdoorsman’ Trait suits survival outside, especially traveling during any rainy periods and for winter, additional focus on the First Aid skill helps combat ‘Thin Skinned’, as my character is prone to injuring themselves often. Personally, I find this build balanced enough to continue to a later stage and geared towards my personal play style of woodland survival rather than head-on combat.

PROJECT ZOMBOID TRAITS CHEAT MODS
It’s a tough game at times and the inevitability of death has inspired players to create mods to use cheats to either extend their lifespan, give their character’s a better start, or simply to mow through zombies without worrying about death knocking on their door. Ultimately though you are merely delaying the inevitable as the game continues until you fall to the zombies. Surviving requires you to constantly worry about things like hunger, thirst, disease, shelter, and having enough weapons and ammo on hand to handle the zombies at your door.

Project Zomboid is a fun indie game that has the player fighting to survive the zombie apocalypse.
